Information for Families

Having an Au Pair come and live with you can be a really rewarding experience for all concerned. The Au Pair will live as part of the family and be a really useful extra pair of hands and a brother or sister to your children. She or he will have the opportunity to learn English and experience life in a new country.

In order for this to be a harmonious situation it is very important to make a good match between Au Pair and Family. This is where we can help and where we are very different from other Au Pair agencies. We take great care in getting as much information as we can from our prospective Au Pairs and from our families so that we put the right people together.We really do get to know our Au Pairs before we suggest them to you. The last thing you want is to go through the whole settling in phase with a new Au Pair to then realise that she or he is just not right for your family. Then you are back to square one again!

We provide support through the process from day one (receiving your enquiry) right through until you need us no longer! You can call us any time. If it is your first time looking for an Au pair we will help you with all the basic information about working hours and pay, time off and language classes etc. We have a really comprehensive guide on having an Au pair with advice and USEFUL up to date local information and telephone numbers and websites. Please ask and I will email it to you . We also make sure that new Au Pairs are put in contact with our existing Au pairs in the area.

Our lovely Au Pairs are sometimes already in the UK and so are available for interview. If they are still in their home country we interview over the phone and communicate very regularly with emails, instant messaging and skype. We suggest you do the same before making a final decision.

Mothers Helps are more experienced than an Au pairs and can be relied on to take on more responsibility with the children.
