The Mother’s Help will be required to carry out 4 hours of housekeeping duties each week which include dusting, vacuuming, loading and unloading the dishwasher, changing the beds, ironing and generally tidying up around the home. The rest of the hours are to be spent assisting with the children. This role contains shared charge and also sole charge and although the Mother’s Help doesn’t need to be qualified, she must have a driving licence and be able to use her own car. A French or Spanish speaker would also be added bonus. The family have a small dog so the Mother’s Help must be happy to work in a household with pets. The family may consider a person with their own child.

They are very happy to increase hours to 30 in total for someone who is happy to help with household chores while the children are at school. You will need to be a driver and you would have use of the family car. You do not need to be qualified but experienced and enthusiastic. If you would like to become ofsted registered the family will be happy to support you doing so. One of the children has complex special needs and you will need to be comfortable and willing to learn how to deal with that. Your role will involve looking after the children alone sometimes and with their Mother at other times. This could be a live-in role if required and there will be totally separate accommodation in a few months’ time. If the family have not found a permanent nanny by the end of January they are willing to consider a temporary arrangement with a nanny. Salary will be £ 8 net per hour approximately.
